ERP Solution Analyst

Position Summary: The ERP Solution Analyst will be responsible for application administration, business analysis, configuration, daily operations, troubleshooting, and problem-solving within the University Banner ERP system under the direction of the Information Systems Manager or designee. Provides guidance to functional users on maximizing the system's potential, improving/automating processes, and integrating with external applications. Duties include:

  • Monitors, configures, localizes, and extends the Banner ERP application system to meet business requirements, ensuring optimal performance, integrity, and reliability.
  • Conducts business analysis to understand user requirements and translate them into system configurations and enhancements.
  • Provides support to users by addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems promptly.
  • Advises functional users on best practices for utilizing the Banner ERP system and leveraging features to improve efficiency.
  • Develops and manages integrations with external applications using PL/SQL, SQL, shell scripting, RESTful APIs, and low code/no code platforms.
  • Streamlines manual processes using existing tools and techniques, and proactively seek out opportunities for improvement.
  • Manages multiple concurrent projects, balancing daily operations with longer-term initiatives effectively.
  • Collaborates with functional stakeholders to define project goals, organize tasks, and implement solutions in a phased/agile approach.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those enumerated above which do not alter the basic level and responsibilities of the position.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years professional IT experience required (In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, eight (8) years of professional IT experience can be used as a substitution).
  • Experience in ERP application support in one or more of the following roles: administrator, analyst, specialist, consultant, or developer is required.
  • Experience with moderately complex information systems in role(s) with one or more of the following responsibilities: root cause/problem analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, construction, rollout is required. 
  • Hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner Student and/or Finance preferred. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is required: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is required. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment is preferred. 
  • Possess proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies and techniques is preferred; 
  • Proficiency in SQL is preferred.
  • Familiarity with shell scripting in a Linux environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with low code/no code platforms such as Informatica, Ellucian Data Connect, or PowerAutomate is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS/Node.js/React, and using RESTful APIs is preferred. 
  • Multi-lingual or bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

 

Salary & Benefits: The hiring salary range is $81,784 – $106,166 and is commensurate upon candidates' experience. WestConn offers a comprehensive benefits package.
