The Manager of Employee Engagement is an exciting new corporate position dedicated solely to conceiving, designing, executing, and overseeing exceptional employee engagement initiatives and programs, building an extraordinary employee experience culture, and serving as the public-facing champion for employee engagement, experience, and retention across the entire Vincentian organization. The Manager of Employee Engagement’s primary focus is strategic talent retention and establishing Vincentian as THE employer of choice in the Pittsburgh area.
Designing experiences that honor each person, individual preferences and acknowledge the entire person at the center of what we do is at Vincentian’s core. Our Manager of Employee Engagement will be tasked with applying these same principles to co-design, operationalize, and continuously refine the employee experience. Executing comprehensive employee-centric programs that will expand and enhance loyalty and forge new avenues of engagement and commitment is a key element to Vincentian’s success.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the organizational point person for employee engagement, recognition, and communications programs, including overseeing events, running committees, logistics, etc., to ensure all employee programs are successfully implemented. Continuously evaluate, refine, and redesign programs to deliver exceptional employee experiences.
- Develop a systemic approach to define and monitor employee engagement metrics and key performance indicators – evaluating effectiveness, assessing engagement, measuring ROI, identifying gaps between existing and desired outcomes, analyze the causes and factors that limit outcomes and recommends and/or implements solutions that focus on and deliver business results.
- Enthusiastically design and deliver end-to-end employee engagement initiatives that inspire and engage employees, building an extraordinary employee experience culture, and serve as the public-facing champion for employee engagement and experience for Vincentian.
- Partner with the Vincentian Learning and Engagement Institute team to develop and deliver engagement and enrichment programs for employees, management, and the People Operations & Engagement department. Conduct training for management team on best retention and employee engagement practices. Conduct individual coaching sessions for managers as necessary to promote success.
- Drive the organization’s effort to retain, develop, and attract a diverse, quality workforce that fosters and promotes a culture of excellence.
- Spearhead and supervise meaningful employee recognition initiatives, programs, and events. Ensure equanimity for each and every initiative: across departments, shifts, position, role, etc.
As a Manager You Will
- Supervise and mentor People Operations & Engagement Specialists, establish consistent employee engagement practices that set reliably high standards throughout the organization. Set team goals and develop objectives, tactics, and measurements to report on and meet those goals.
- Develop and manage the annual operational budget, maintaining sound financial practices. Assist with identifying additional funding sources and development of potential revenue streams to help support operations.
- Create and maintain policies, procedures, processes and a digital organizational library for all employee engagement efforts, complete timely updates.
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree from a college or university in a related field (Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Human Design, etc.) is required.
- 5+ years relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Proven record of designing and delivering experience-focused programs and initiatives to diverse audiences.
