Academic Program Manager- Nurse Administrator
The University of South Carolina Union seeks applicants for a full-time Academic Program Manager (Nurse Administrator) position. Minimum requirements are Master’s degree in Nursing and 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
College/Location: USC Union College
Advertised Salary Range: $60,000 (Salary commensurate with qualifications)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
Job Summary:
Plans, develops and collaborates with clinical facilities in the USC Union service area (Union, Laurens, Newberry, Fairfield, Chester, Cherokee, and York) to secure contracts for student clinical placements in all required concentrations for the BSN program. Maintain and renew contracts as needed. Establishes an effective communications program with all institutional personnel in all matters relating to the BSN program at USC Union. Promote, recruit and serve as the Point of Contact (POC) for incoming student prospects interested in the BSN program to answer questions regarding program requirements. Develop and implement the BSN program each term to set course and clinical schedules. Serve as the academic advisor to all students in the BSN program. Oversees the work with student advisors to monitor student academic performance and course progression. Design and develop promotional and marketing messaging in collaboration with USC Union Marketing and Admissions/Recruitment Offices to promote the program to potential students in the USC Union service area. Advise other administrators on matters relating to the program, policies and procedures. Conduct all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards. Adhere to all state and federal accreditation and college rules and regulations regarding student eligibility. Accurately and completely portray all college educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and financial consideration to students, parents, and educators. Promote and coordinate student activities to increase community awareness for local high school prospects in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities including: open houses, regional presentations, training sessions, orientation programs, career days, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
A master’s degree in nursing and 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those who currently live in the existing geographic market and have knowledge of the local medical facilities.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to hospital administrators, parents, students, faculty and advisors, and others associated with the recruitment and retention process is important.
