Broader Impacts Specialist (Hybrid Possible)

The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Broader Impacts Specialist (Hybrid Possible).
Applications will be accepted until 10/29/2024.
- consulting with researchers about broader impacts possibilities,
- providing direct support to researchers to develop and review their broader impacts plans,
- maintaining and developing key campus and community partnerships to strategically connect researchers for mutually beneficial broader impacts planning and implementation,
- providing high-level documentation and tracking of broader impacts implementation, and scheduling larger-scale broader impacts efforts of proposals as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or advanced certification beyond Bachelor’s
- 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience
Skills:
- Familiarity with grant proposals and processes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to engage in multiple projects at once
- Experience maintaining and developing campus and/or community partnerships
- Ability to problem-solve
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent organizational skills
- High emotional intelligence
- Experience handling sensitive information
- High level of confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in higher education, particularly with researchers
- Knowledge of externally-funded sponsors including the National Science Foundation
- Grant writing experience
- Program design and implementation experience
- Additional 3+ years of professional experience
