Candidates with a Ph.D in Computer Science. Computer Engineering, or Information Technology, as well as applicants without the terminal degree but with significant industry or military experience in Cyber Security will be considered.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of strong teaching, research, or practical experience in computing and Cyber Security, The successful candidate will have demonstrated aptitude in mentoring.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in other related areas such as web technology, software engineering, operating systems, mobile computing, network operations, or game programming.

Primary Purpose of Position
The Mathematics and Computer Science Department of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications to fill the Allen C. Meadors Distinguished Professorship Endowed Chair in Computer Science/ Cyber Security.
The position is designated at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The professorship includes competitive salary as well as a research and travel stipend.
Candidates with the doctorate will be eligible to participate in the tenure process; candidates without the doctorate will be eligible to participate in multi-year contract renewal outside of the tenure process.

Meadors Distinguished Professor will teach two courses per semester and help design additional coursework including certificate programming, as well as develop and facilitate internship opportunities for students. In addition, the ideal candidate will be expected to engage in research and grantsmanship, as well as facilitate and develop industry, government, and military contacts.
