Hematology Oncology Referral Specialist Coordinator
SUNY Upstate Medical University is currently seeking a Hematology Oncology Referral Specialist Coordinator to join the Cancer Center-Hematology/Oncology department. The Hematology Oncology Referral Specialist Coordinator is responsible for Hematology/Oncology providers internal and external referrals and orders. Duties include ensuring authorizations have been obtained and scheduling is completed in a timely manner to prevent treatment delays. Must be able to independently prioritize work load and separate STAT orders. This role requires the ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, inbasket management, scanning and time management skills in a busy practice.
Qualifications: Associates degree and two years of relevant health care or referral experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and computer skills required.
