Advertising Account Executive
Job Description
The State Media has an exciting opportunity for an Advertising Account Executive to join our dynamic and forward-thinking sales team! We provide the culture, tools, and environment for you to achieve unlimited success by offering great ideas and creation executions to local businesses. The Advertising Account Executive develops new accounts, retains and grows existing key accounts, and focuses on the customer's return on investment.
Primary Responsibilities:

Understand and assess and develop plans for areas for growth (cross-sell/up-sell/new health industry customers) within identified opportunity categories and assigned geography

Utilize category-specific value propositions to incorporate impactful insights into proposals

Target and build relationships with existing clients and potential clients within the local market

Create proposals after gaining a complete understanding of the client’s needs through a CIA

Communicate the ROI of the solution and educate the client on the solution, as needed

Actively manage relationship by reporting campaign results to ensure client satisfaction and identify follow-up opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell

Smoothly transition accounts to and from other teams as necessary based on spending level and customer needs

Has deep understanding of local market & competitive landscape
Job Requirements

2 to 5 years of sales experience

Bachelor's degree preferred

Must have excellent sales skills, customer relations, and communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.
