The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is seeking a director for the Division of Acute Disease Epidemiology (DADE). This position provides oversight, plans, coordinates, directs and evaluates DADE programs for foodborne diseases, respiratory diseases, vaccine preventable diseases, viral hepatitis and all other reportable communicable diseases and emerging infectious diseases in the state.
Requirements: PhD in epidemiology, MD, DVM, or DO, and at least six (6) years of experience in a public health setting applying communicable disease surveillance, prevention, and control principles, four (4) years of which must be with public health program management and supervisory responsibility. Requires expertise in applied epidemiology practice, data collection, statistical analysis and data interpretation.
