Job Description- Director of Construction
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year We are looking for a reliable Construction Manager for a 5-10 year assignment in Colorado to plan and oversee the progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects.
Responsibilities: Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. Meet contractual conditions of performance. Review the work progress on daily basis. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Skills: Proven working experience in high-end residential construction & commercial. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards. Understanding of all facets of the construction process. Familiarity with construction management software packages. Ability to plan and see the “big picture” Competent in conflict and crisis management. Leadership and human resources management skills. Excellent time and project management skills. BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field; or related. PM high-end residential experience.

The Project Accountant will actively engage and collaborate with the president and company operational departments.
Job Responsibilities: Prepare monthly pay applications. Review general contractor consultant invoices for completeness and accuracy. Enter, revise, sort, calculate, and create tables for analysis, account reconciliations, year-end working papers, control accounts, etc. Perform month-end and year-end account reconciliations including preparation of working papers for auditors' review. Own and improve monthly close processes Support the external audit of the company’s annual financial statements, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor questions and requests. Assist in the implementation of an effective internal control environment. Ensure receivables are processed timely and accurately and drive AR collection efforts. Ensure expenses are properly documented. Provide back-up assistance to the payroll department.
Requirements: B.S. in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience. Prior job costing experience in construction accounting. Proficiency with intermediate to advanced. Excel skills required. Well-developed financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities. High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls. Excellent organization skills and can handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, high growth environment. Highly ethical with the ability to work cooperatively with other departments without compromising internal controls. Minimum of 4 years of construction accounting experience required'
