Morris College, a private four year Liberal Arts College in Sumter, South Carolina, is seeking to fill the following position(s):
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT AND RECORDS: This is a twelve-month position that is responsible for activities associated with the maintenance of student records in accordance with nationally accepted standards. Major duties also include certifying student eligibility for awarding of degrees, honors and participation in various co-curricular activities as well as providing periodic reports to various units of the college. Other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant professional experience. Open Until Filled.
ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR: To carry out a program of student recruitment designed to establish a continuous flow of qualified applicants to the college. Travel is required. Must have a bachelors degree in education, psychology, social sciences or English and one year of experience in teaching, recruitment, social sciences or related contact work. Salary dependent upon training and experience. Open Until Filled.
DATA ENTRY CLERK: To render various data entry and retrieval service; assist in preparing reports and perform any other duties relating to the respective Office Enrollment Management and Records. Must have an Associate degree in Secretarial Science or related field and two years of related experience. Open Until Filled.
COORDINATOR of IT SERVICES: Minimum bachelor’s degree in an information technology field from an accredited institution and three years of experience. Knowledge of higher education administrative systems applications and environment. Demonstrated experience with database management (relational database design, queries, and table creation, etc.), system backup and restoration, Microsoft Windows 2012 or 2016 server security and management, SQL, installation of software updates and computer hardware, network configurations, cabling and LANs, certification standards, website applications, digital signage, etc. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision, and to work effectively as a team leader or member. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Knowledge of VMWare or Active Directory is a plus. This is a hands-on position. Open until Filled.
COMPUTER CENTER ASSISTANT: This is a support position for the Computer Center. It has several designated tasks and it assists the Network Administrator and Coordinator of IT Services with a number of tasks. A Bachelor’s degree in a computer technology field with one year experience or an Associate’s degree in a computer technology field with three years of experience from an accredited institution is required. Knowledge and experience with Windows 7, 8, and 10, Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013 or higher, website applications, digital signage, and basic networks is required. Also, must have effective oral and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work as a team member. Prior work in a higher education institution is a plus.
