World Language Teacher – High School French - Multiple Positions

Lexington County School District One seeks to hire for multiple World Language Teacher – High School French positions in Lexington County, South Carolina. Candidate(s) must have a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Education, French, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent. Candidate(s) must have a valid South Carolina teaching certificate with an appropriate specialization and be fluent in French.

The specific job responsibilities of the position include: (i) teach concepts and skills in the comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing in French to high school students; (ii) teach appreciation of the countries’ culture for assigned grade level (Grades 9-12); and (iii) perform other duties as assigned including tutoring high school students, curriculum writing, peer evaluations and/or similar duties. Position may transfer to a different building within the district’s metro-statistical area (MSA) to accommodate the business needs of the district.
