Opportunity To provide assistance and support in the implementation and delivery of Veterans Administration educational benefits in the Kent State University system. Reports to Associate Director, Center for Adult and Veteran Services.

Duties:

• Process Veterans Administration educational benefits for students within the Kent State University system.
• Provide customer service, support, and guidance to students and staff regarding the usage of Veterans Administration educational benefits.
• Maintain files and to be compliance and audit ready.
• Provide support to programs and services offered through the Center for Adult and Veteran Services.
• Communicate and collaborate with various internal and external constituents regarding Veterans Administration educational benefits, records, and data.
• Serve on various department, division, and university committees.
• May supervise students work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis throughout the year.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Three years experience in a compliance driven environment which includes two years of experience processing Veterans Administration educational benefits. Ability to work hours that vary each semester, including evening and weekend hours.
