About this Position:

 

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team at UK IDEA in a pivotal role supporting several new research projects, focusing prominently on community engagement and benefits plans. As part of this position, you will engage extensively with community stakeholders including government officials, educational institutions, businesses and individuals within Eastern Kentucky and Lexington communities about the UK IDEA clean environmental technologies. The communities may be expanded as additional projects are awarded. Your responsibilities will encompass in-depth research into these communities’ social and environmental justice issues, as well as diversification efforts within these communities. You will play a key role in crafting comprehensive community benefits plans and proposals tailored to specific projects, ensuring they align with our commitment to fostering sustainable and equitable development. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to impactful initiatives that positively influence communities across various domains.

 

The Program Coordinator II provides a comprehensive technical extension program for stakeholders in the UK IDEA Group site-based research projects. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and communicating data from the programming efforts, and building and maintaining partnerships. Sites include but are not limited to Eastern Kentucky, Cane Run Generating Station, and Meadville, PA.

Qualifications:

 

Preferred education/experience in social sciences or communications.

Required Education and Experience: MA and three (3) years of related experience, or any of the following combinations below of education and experience:

 

  • Bachelors’s Degree and 5 years of related experience
  • Associate’s degree and 7 years of related experience
  • High School Diploma and 9 years of related experience

 

Salary Range: $43,805-70,075/year
