Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; plus at least two to four years of experience in analysis, maintaining financial accounts and records, strong interpersonal communication, and strong organizational skills. Experience in a higher education environment is preferred.
Duties and/or Responsibilities: The Financial Analyst – Budget reports to the Director of Budget and performs the following duties:
- On a monthly basis, update expenditures, revenues, and forecasts for reports shared with upper management and the Board of Trustees.
- On a monthly basis, perform analysis of necessary College accounts.
- Perform budget transfers and/or adjustments for operating and capital accounts as necessary.
- Process bond payments to the County.
- Process capital payments as necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of the College’s budget proposal which is distribution to the Board of Trustees and County Legislature.
- Assist with the loading of the approved budget into the Banner Finance System.
- Assist with administering the chart of accounts in the Banner Finance System.
- Assist with year-end activities, including but not limited to: capital construction PO rollovers, capital and operating year-end reports, and audit reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The Salary Range is $50,000.00-$55,000.00
