Human Resources Director
Greenwood Commissioners of Public Works is a municipal utility providing electric, gas, and water services in the Upstate of South Carolina. We are located in Greenwood County, which has a population of approximately 70,000.
We have an opening for a Human Resources Director to oversee all aspects of the human resources department for approximately 150 employees. Your primary responsibilities will be planning, directing, and coordinating CPW’s risk management, employee safety program, group insurance, fringe benefits, disciplinary action and personnel records administration. Additional duties include compliance with the equal employment opportunity, performing entrance orientations, exit interviews, recruitment, training, and wage and salary administration. Greenwood CPW desires an individual that is upbeat, organized, and has a proven history of maintaining excellent working relationships with others.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, or related field, supplemented by five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in human resources positions, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. PHR/SPHR preferred.
