Fire Inspector

Fire Inspector Full time position available for an experienced

Fire Inspector in Falls Township.

The candidate will report directly to the Fire Marshal.

The primary responsibilities will include:

• Performs fire inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings and building plans for compliance with fire codes and life/safety regulations.
• Instructs facility employees in fire prevention and fire and safety regulations and procedures.
• Trains employees on the use of fire extinguishers and fire safety.
• Maintains cooperative working relationship with officials from 2 landfills and 1 trash to steam plant to verify compliance in regulations.
• Performs inspections regarding compliance in control of leakage and covers on trash trailers, signs identifying waste being hauled, on board fire extinguishers, proper record keeping and contingency plans, and prevention of all odors, vectors and other nuisances.
• The applicant must have excellent computer and communication skills.

You must also possess the following:

• Current PA U.C.C. Fire Inspector Certification.
• (IFSAC/Pro-Board) NAFI CFEI or IAAI CFI Certification.
• National FF 1 certification.
• (IFSAC/Pro-Board) Hazardous Materials Operations Level.
• (IFSAC/Pro-Board) EMR/First Responder or above EMS certification.
• Certified in First Aid, Infant/Child/Adult CPR.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within a fire department.
• Experience in residential, commercial, and industrial building inspections.
• Must have a current valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalency. U.S. Citizen.
• Able to meet physical requirements.

Candidate will be subject to a background check, and drug and alcohol test.
