The Arkansas of Department of Finance and Administration in Little Rock, Arkansas, seeks to fill one position for a DFA IT Technical Specialist in Little Rock. This position is responsible for designing and developing solutions to complex applications and addressing system and other technology concerns. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy. The position will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and optimizing the central infrastructure, application instances and databases that are required by the SAP system in the SAP Public Sector. The applicants should be familiar with all SAP business areas HR/HCM, FI, MM and PM. Candidates must have SAP BASIS skills. Prefer candidates that have trained in SAP.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher, or its equivalent in information technology, computer science, computer information systems, computer engineering, or a related field; plus seven years of experience; OR The formal educational equivalent of an associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer information systems, computer engineering, or a related field; plus ten years of experience. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants with a Master's Degree in Information Systems; SAP Certified; Financial background with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their practical application; minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in sap configuration and design; extensive knowledge of SAP ERP applications Version ECC 6.0 for public sector; knowledge of state government financial, budgeting and personnel concepts and procedures; working knowledge of JAWS (job access with speech) software to perform accessibility testing; ability to use Microsoft Office applications; extensive customer support experience.
