Commercial Electrician

Deer Pond Electrical Contracting is seeking Electricians and Top Helpers to join our family. We provide electrical construction and service for the light industrial, commercial and the custom residential markets. Most of our work is commercial new construction, upfits, and renovations. Our company is based in Lexington, SC and we perform work throughout the Midlands and surrounding areas. General requirements:

-Has a valid driver’s license and RELIABLE vehicle

-Is willing to WORK and is dependable

-Shows up to work and is ON TIME

-Has a high school diploma or GED

-Can keep their phone in their pocket

-Normal work hours 7am-5pm

-Some overtime or emergency work is possible

Electricians Duties and Requirements:

-Can bend and install EMT conduit

-Operate Multimeters and other electrical testing equipment

-Diagnose and troubleshoot common electrical issues

-Install electrical panelboards, conduit, devices, wiring, cables, switchgear, and boxes

-Drive a company vehicle to various job locations

-Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and spec sheets for various constructions and service projects

-Supervise and lead helpers and top helpers to ensure quality and production goals are met

-Generate materials lists and acquire materials to complete electrical projects

-Takes ownership for teaching electrical helpers and top helpers the necessary technical knowledge to succeed

-Has sufficient knowledge of NEC codes and inspection rules to complete electrical projects

-Owns necessary hand tools for the job
