The Columbia Housing Authority of South Carolina (CHASC) is offering an exciting opportunity to lead a changing technology infrastructure. CHASC is undergoing a transformation in its information technology (IT) architecture and is seeking a hands-on Director to lead a small team of technology professionals. The Authority seeks a leader with a background as a generalist in technology, with desire and proven effectiveness in IT supervision and change management. This position is a critical role, requiring the ability to be both tactical and strategic in IT and the knowledge and experience of moving an organization from a traditional server environment to cloud-based applications.
Columbia, South Carolina is a vibrant city and the capital and second-largest city of the state and is also home to the South Carolina State House, which is the center of the states government. This is the ideal hub from which to enjoy the Midlands region of the state the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, Koger Center for the Arts, Carolina Coliseum, the Township Auditorium, and The Colonial Life Arena, a host of popular NBA exhibition games.
Desired Education, Background & Competencies
Bachelors Degree in information technology, management information services, computer science, or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in computer systems and network administration, leading technology projects and coordinating other MIS activities, including a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory capacity. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
