The Spadoni College of Educations seeks applications for the full time (annual appointment) position of Assessment Systems Data Manager.
The Assessment Systems Data Manager will serve as a member of the SCOE Leadership team, collaborating with the Dean to provide academic leadership and administrative oversight. A primary responsibility will be to coordinate the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and South Carolina Department Education accreditation processes and team visits. This would include working with professional education faculty (program writers) within the SCOE and across the University to ensure program alignment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the development of assessment systems to meet the requirements of program evaluations and CAEP accreditation requirements.
- Create, organize, and manage databases required for our assessment and accreditation processes.
- Assist faculty to manage the data collection, analysis, and reporting processes for specialized assessments.
- Conduct statistical analyses that provide data regarding the validity and reliability of key assessments used for continuous improvement of programs.
- Coordinate reporting of data analyses and facilitate continuous improvement planning in the program areas as a result of assessment data.
- Assist faculty in developing and submitting self-studies and institutional reports to our state, university, specialized professional associations, and accreditation bodies.
- Collaborate with personnel throughout the Spadoni College of Education and Institutional Research to synthesize and collect appropriate data to meet external reporting and accountability requirements, including AACTE, CAEP, Title II, PEDS, and other relevant reporting agencies.
- Serve on the University Wide Assessment Committee and the College of Education Assessment Committee, and help facilitate key initiatives that evolve from these committees.
- Coordinate, organize, and manage the collection of data from external stakeholders (e.g., P-12 partners, alumni, employers).
- Support the work of the Director of Program Evaluation and Accreditation, Program Coordinators, and Department Chairs.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree and experience with data management are required. Successful candidate should also have knowledge of assessment data systems; knowledge and experience with the development, monitoring, and maintenance of systems for the analysis, evaluation and interpretation of data; experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and staying within predetermined project parameters; evidence of strong organization skills and project management skills; evidence of strong oral and written communication, presentation skills, and proven ability to work and communicate with stakeholders.
