Senior Online Learning Systems Administrator
Coastal Carolina University is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Online Learning Systems Administrator (Information Systems / Business Analyst II) in the Coastal Office of Online Learning.
Duties include but are not limited to: following best practice guidelines; performing system administration functions for all assigned digital learning platforms, including but not limited to the Moodle Learning Management System; performing related system testing for upgrades and enhancements; communicating with Information Technology Services on issues related to technical learning systems, such as troubleshooting; collaborating with CeTEAL, Training and Development, and other campus constituents as needed on the design and administration of faculty training or support documentation for digital learning systems; developing user guides, how-to documents, videos, and other similar training documents; offering face-to-face and online trainings to provide training support; researching, developing, and documenting solutions for problems submitted on faculty and student help requests; researching and testing emerging digital learning systems and tools having future potential to help COOLrealize its unit mission; modeling, promoting and ensuring exceptional customer service delivery to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large; processing and reporting usage data pertaining to the learning systems; and performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, educational technology, information management systems, computer technology or related field is required. At least two (2) years of experience in an educational technology/information technology position or related field and experience is required. At least three (3) years of experience as an online learning/technology systems administrator overseeing a LMS (such as Moodle) is strongly preferred. Experience supporting help-desk level callers at the faculty level is strongly preferred. Experience developing documentation or technical reports for both print and electronic distribution is preferred. Experience teaching in the higher education, K12, or professional development areas is preferred.
