A busy medical practice looking for experienced full-time Medical Assistants to join our team of healthcare professionals located in Columbia, South Carolina.
Job Responsibilities
Performing all duties in accordance with clinical, OSHA, infection control standards, and HIPAA standards.
Documenting all patient-related communication and interventions in the patients' electronic record.
Preparing patients for examination and assisting physician during treatment, examinations, and testing of patient
Measuring and documenting patients' healthcare history, maintenance, and chief compliant.
Coordinating out-patient testing and referrals to other physicians and hospital pre-admission when necessary
Preparing, restocking, and disinfection examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas at scheduled intervals and as needed
Representing the clinic in a professional manner and treating all patients and fellow co-workers in a respectful and cooperative manner
Attending required meetings and continuing education classes when necessary.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program, preferred
Current CPR certification
Minimum of two years clinical experience, preferred
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Computer skills with experience in Practice Management systems and EHR systems, preferred
