Network Engineer
Career College located in Chicago, Illinois, is looking to hire a Network Engineer with 5 years of experience to perform the following duties: Planning, implementing, designing, analyzing, & maintaining the highly complex network infrastructures of a large academic campus network, including: Data Center, LAN, WAN, WLAN, DHCP, Voice over IP, Video & Internet access. Config & install various network devices & services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS). Perform a comparative analysis & designing telecommunications systems consistent with the campus requirements & all applicable codes. Perform network maintenance & system upgrades. Monitor performance & ensure system availability & reliability. Monitor system resource utilization, trending, & capacity planning. Select & implement network security tools, policies, & procedures in conjunction with the standards & campus requirements. Develop & maintain network automation tools. Identify the causes of networking problems, using diagnostic testing software & equipment. Perform in-depth troubleshooting/analysis/isolation/resolution of escalated voice or data network. Document network support activities. Bachelor's degree or academic equivalent in Electronics Engineering or related fields required. Monday through Friday, 9 AM-5 PM (40 hours per week).
