Job Summary:
The Office of Information Technology is seeking candidates for the position of Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer. Auburn University's IAM / Meta Directory team provides full user life cycle management for faculty, staff, student and departmental identities that compose the backbone of many critical applications and business processes across both the Auburn and Montgomery campuses.
This position will focus primarily on the development of new solutions to improve access management with regard to AU's ERP, Active Directory and Office 365 environments as well as automating repeatable tasks for IAM. The successful candidate will have the freedom to identify efficiency improvements and develop solutions accordingly under the supervision of the IAM manager. Experience working with a wide variety of technical and non-technical staff at all University levels is expected so excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Entry into the applicant pool for the Specialist IV position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five (5) or more years of application development experience. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of some experience. Starting salaries are typically between $55K and $65K.
The Specialist V position requires a Bachelor's degree and four (4) or more years of experience in application development. Starting salaries are typically between $64K and $75K.
The Level VI Specialist VI position requires a Bachelor's degree and seven (7) or more years of experience in application development. Starting salaries are typically between $73K and $86K
Candidates for this position must have demonstrated experience and success working both in a collaborative team environment and independently. Candidates must also be skilled at organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple concurrent tasks and/or projects.
Required skills include:
1. Demonstrated programming/development experience
2. Familiar with Active Directory user and group management
3. Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 (O365)

Desired Qualifications:
In addition to the minimum qualifications listed above, desired qualifications for this position include an earned degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution or relevant work experience. Other desired qualifications include a working knowledge of one or more of the following:
1. User life cycle management (at an academic institution is preferred)
2. Microsoft Office 365 administration (licensing users, troubleshooting applications and permissions, etc)
3. Powershell scripting
4. SQL query and view definitions (MS SQL Server and Oracle preferred)
5. Familiar with Ellucian Banner (Security and Governance preferred)
6. Familiar with Azure Active Directory
7. Single Sign-On solutions (CAS and SAML)
8. .Net programming using MVC
9. Familiar with ServiceNow
